BITTER, SOUR, SALTY, SWEET

Sloan suggested a beer tasting. TS and Jerritt brought pears and dolmatas. Sloan and Jenny brought fresh pretzels and mustard sauce. Everyone brought a few beers.

Sloan kept track of our comments. Our favorites were surprising: the Coney Island Lager (so unlike a lager!), the Laughing Buddha ginger beer (which smelled a bit like soap, I thought, but tasted lovely. Also of note, it came from an industrial park, where, as Jerritt put it, a few kids have set up their little brewery), the Lazy Boy Ale, and the Stone Bitter Chocolate Oatmeal Stout (we saved the best for last).

The beer list was rather long...

Hey guys. This is Zak from Shmaltz Brewing Company, the makers of the Coney Island Lagers. Thanks so much for including us in your tasting, and I'm really glad you enjoyed it. Cheers!
