True or False?

Elizabeth invited me along to the True/False Documentary film festival in Columbia, MO.

Silas was engrossed in a Harry Potter book.

Across the wide Missouri...

We stayed with E's and S's friends, Elaine and Justin. Justin was the Center Fielder of the festival, though, so we didn't see much of him.

On the menu: Mulligatawny soup, red velvet cupcakes, cappuccino brownies.

The festival kicked off with a little parade that included this little punk rock marching band.

Someone in the parade was throwing wax lips.

Elaine was responsible for painting a zillion paper birch trees for one of the venues. Unfortunately, I didn't see any movies in her enchanted forest.

But I did see three at the Missouri Theater. (They were all fantastic)
There are plans to renovate the theater, which is beautiful, like an opera house, with a large balcony, handpainted wallpaper, and a tremendous chandelier suspended from a velvet cord.

It's crumbly, which I loved, of course, though I'm glad it will soon be restored.

We drank Stag at Elizabeth's all time favorite bar, Booches.
