I hear it is bad Feng Shui to live near a hospital. We live near a few.
You can look down the skylights at St. Luke's.
Maybe they are making up for the bad Feng Shui by paying for our parking permit.
Eileen visited from St. Louis.
We met up at Smith, where they serve trotters and marrow bones, which we have not yet tried.
Then there was a brunch.
And fall arrived with all her apples and splendor.
This is actually a photograph of our new globe.
Marshall's book is #3 best seller at Elliott Bay!
Jerritt visited from Elko. He caramelized a load of onions.
And TS brought over a bunch of beers for the tasting.
I was too busy cooking and peeling beets to remember to take a photo of them.
Ross ordered a Schmidt in honor of his friend Karl. It cost $1.50.
Cheers, Mr. Schmidt. Your beer can bears a lovely fish.

The closest I got
While I waited for Ross to pick me up only two guys asked me for money. We were on our way to Sloan & Jenny's for some Scrabble.
But after we put my bike on the rack, the car wouldn't start.
Lucky thing Ross works for Flexcar--he borrowed one and jumped the battery, but it was too late to go to S & J's by then.
So we met them the next night at the library, for a free show by The Blow.
Yes, in the library.
Yes, free.
TS, Ross and I met Marc and his friends for a drink after the show.
Marc's friend modeled her sexy look,
and her studious look.
TS gave me a tour of one floor of her office building.
Until this week, she had this view. She just moved offices, but really, view or no view...
At least we got some free books.

I heard a seagull on my way
Green leaves and counting
On the way to Bumbershoot a big chunk of glass punctured my tire. Being the princess that I am, Ross fixed it for me, and I kept my hands clean. Obviously, I haven't been cleaning my chain regularly.
Bumbershoot takes place in the shadow of the Space Needle.
St. Vincent was my favorite of the performers I saw that day. I guess these kids liked her, too, because they wanted her autograph on a sneaker.
They do bicycle jousting, and have bike powered carnival rides, like this one. Four peddlers in the middle, and four kids in spinning, flying swings on the outside.
The bicycle powered lawn mower is named the Suburban Intruder.
Personally, I didn't find the Globe bathroom particularly clean or staid.
TS and Marc came over and TS made a birthday card for her sister.
