Roll out the red carpet

Ross and I went to see The National and St. Vincent at the Showbox, but the show sold out at the moment we reached the front of the line. So we consoled ourselves with Belgian beers at The Stumbling Monk, where I guess people like to draw on the backs of coasters and pin them to the wall.

TS and I met for a walk to the library over our lunch hour, but then went back to her building to eat.

Ross' friend Craig has two short films showing in the Local Sightings Film Fest. He invited us to the kick-off party.

Craig's friend wanted to know if she had achieved the colonial look she was going for.

In a little upstairs room, four films were simultaneously projected through a hanging sheet.

I peeked at the man behind the curtain.

And on Friday after work the sun came out. Perfect, perfect timing.

Ross and I went to Terrace Park to wait until Maneki opened and we could eat some delicious sushi.

We met Josh and Laura at Redwood, where the bar holds a long line of shotgun shells.

Ross knows Josh from the Fort Collins days.

On our walk home we saw that a taxi had crashed in a bakery van, or maybe the bakery van crashed into the taxi.
