Gilding the Sidewalk

Welcome to the first ever Bloom and Rot guest photographer post, featuring photos by TaraShea. Friday evening it stopped raining.

So we gathered stencils from TaraShea's house and went on a bike ride.

In Soulard, Vincent got a flat tire. He fixed it in record time.

We didn't mind waiting.

But the new tube went flat, too. So we resorted to walking. We weren't too far from TS's house, and we had our stencils, and some gold spray paint...

Everyone throws their RFT's in the gutter when they realize there are no more articles by Molly.

TS chose a pig stencil.

Walking lets you stop to look at things.

V thought the brewery smelled like ham and eggs.

He chose the little boy stencil.

We went back to TS's to visit with the dinosaurs and skulls.

And to play a very strange game called TAG. I think that stood for Transactual Awareness Game, in which you tell your fellow players what you love and hate about them by reading it off a card, including what their sweatshirt motto would be.

"TS, one quality that I admire in you, a trait that seems an integral part of your personality and habits, is that you always listen closely to my complaints and worries and never offer quick advice. Your sweatshirt motto would be 'You can do it, Little Bunny.'" Silas may have been the only one who really understood the rules.

We weren't really up for the intimacy this game required, but it was fun to read the cards.
