WE'LL GET THERE EVENTUALLY

The fall quarter is almost over, but last weekend was all work. Our treat was a walk, to do errands, with a stop for some delicious coffee at Stumptown, but we felt rushed, with stacks of work at home waiting for us, so we didn't linger. On the way home, waiting for a light to change, we decided to take the long cut for philosophical practice.

This car was parked a block off the beaten path.

My blog has gotten a little out of order: these shots are from a couple of weeks ago, when we met TS and Jerritt over in their hood for happy hour at the oyster bar.

These were my first raw oysters. TS ate one, and I ate one. It was pretty good. Mostly, it just tasted like sea water.

So TS and I met there again this week, just before she flew off to visit her family in Ohio.

We went for a whole dozen this time.

All summer the hydrangeas bloomed--some of them as big as your head! Now they're finally turning brown, but they're still intact.

I think they're still pretty.
